You need a luggage carrier with integrated MIK Profiles. You can easily recognize a luggage carrier with MIK by the MIK or MIK HD logo. No MIK Profiles? No problem! You can mount a MIK Carrier Plate.

HD stands for Heavy Duty. A bicycle with MIK HD Profiles is therefore suitable for fitting a MIK HD bike child seat. Other MIK accessories also fit the MIK HD system. Our system meets the highest safety requirements. Manufacturers offering MIK HD bike child seats must ensure that the products have been tested and approved for sale by TÜV Rheinland. In addition, the MIK HD luggage carriers are tested extra strenuously, both with and without a bike child seat. MIK HD is the first and only system in the world to have this level of endorsement. So you can be sure that you are safe and can travel carefree with your child.

A bicycle with integrated MIK HD Profiles is easily recognized by the MIK HD logo on its luggage carrier. When in doubt, please get in touch with your bicycle manufacturer for advice. For safety reasons, it is unfortunately impossible to fit a MIK HD system to your bicycle as an aftermarket product

No, a bike seat can only be mounted on MIK HD Profiles for safety reasons, and this is not possible with MIK Profiles.
